The first two weeks of training camp have gone by and I feel that it is time to update yall. These past two weeks have been filled with worship, sessions, discussions, and fellowship. Not only that but also interesting foods, bucket showers, hand washing laundry, and tent camping. The Lord is working in us so much already. It is hard to believe that just two weeks ago our squad was meeting for the first time. We went from strangers in a conference room to a family ready to partner with the Lord to expand His kingdom.
The sessions have been amazing! Here are something’s we have learned:
- What is truth? Truth is a person I am in a relationship with. John 14:6 tells us that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.
- Forgiveness sets you free! How often are you overwhelmed with gratitude for the Lord's forgiveness? Because the Lord forgave us, we now can forgive others.
- Hear God’s voice! The more time we spend in the world, the easier it is for us to hear his voice. We must learn to drown out the voices of the devil, our minds, and others to fully hear the voice of the Lord.
Along with the sessions we have made some amazing memories! here are some highlights from the past week
- Tenting in the rain: it has rained more than it hasn’t
- 2 hour game of spicy Uno: one game of spicy Uno lasted 2 hours
- being blessed with ice cream: the amazing Amelia, who just got off her race, decided to bless our squad and bring us ice cream
- Squad wars: we made the top 5…out of 5 teams… BUT it was still fun
- Revival Worship nights: 1 night every week where we just go and worship the King
- Evangelism in Walmart: part of my team and I were given the chance to talk to some great people and we got the chance to pray for them. *TO THE KING*
- Interesting foods: Fermented eggs and eating with our hands…
The Lord is working in this place and I can’t wait to share more with y’all!
With Love,
Kate
